IPL 2025 Suspended: A Complete Guide to the Rest of the Competition and Current Standings

KKR IPL 2025

The ongoing India-Pakistan conflict has led to a temporary suspension of the IPL 2025. The competition is expected to resume next week. Here is what you need to know about the current standings, points table, and remaining matches.

Gujarat Titans Lead the IPL 2025 Table

As per the current standings in the points table, Gujarat Titans remain at the top with 16 points and a positive Net Run Rate (NRR), with three matches still remaining in the league stages. They are closely followed by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who also have 16 points but with a lower positive NRR than Gujarat, which separates them in the standings. RCB also has three more matches left in the competition.

Following them are the Punjab Kings and the Mumbai Indians, with 15 and 14 points respectively. The suspended match between the Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals is expected to be rescheduled, as neither team has been awarded points for that game. The Mumbai Indians have played 12 matches, accumulating 14 points, and have two matches remaining.

Teams That Can Still Qualify for the Playoffs

In addition to the top four teams, the Delhi Capitals (13 points), Kolkata Knight Riders (11 points), and Lucknow Super Giants (10 points) still have slim chances of qualifying for the playoffs. These teams must win their remaining matches by large margins and maintain a strong Net Run Rate (NRR) to secure a spot in the top four.

Teams Eliminated from IPL 2025

Chennai Super Kings have become the first team to be eliminated from the IPL 2025. A string of losses has left them in the last spot of the points table with just six points. The Rajasthan Royals have joined CSK, also with six points, as their inconsistency and four close losses have led to their elimination. Additionally, former champions Sunrisers Hyderabad have been eliminated as well, currently sitting in eighth place in the points table with seven points. This season was expected to be a strong one for SRH, but they have not performed as anticipated and have become the third team to be knocked out of the competition.
