Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are among the top contenders to make it to the playoffs in this edition of the IPL 2025. Between 2020 and 2024, the side has made it to the playoffs every season, barring 2023.
RCB won six matches on the trot in 2024 to make it to the playoffs. That turnaround by the franchise is seen as one of the most impressive turnarounds among all the franchises.
As a side, it can be said that they are peaking at the right time. They are topping the IPL 2025 points table currently with seven wins and three losses. However, a major concern for them is their run at home so far. They have won just one out of their four games at home. They play three out of their remaining four games at home.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Performance Thus Far
RCB started their IPL 2025 campaign with back-to-back wins against KKR (won by 7 wickets) and CSK (won by 50 runs). They lost to GT in their next game by six wickets. Against MI, in their next game, they won by 12 runs. Against DC at the Kotla, they lost by six wickets thanks to KL Rahul's famous Kantara celebration. Bengaluru then lost to Punjab Kings in the Super Over and since then has been on a three-match winning run against PBKS (won by 7 wickets), RR (won by 11 runs), and DC (won by 6 wickets).

RCB has been buoyed by Virat Kohli's form with the bat. He is the second-highest run-getter so far with 443 runs from 10 games. With the ball, Josh Hazlewood (18 wickets), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (12 wickets), and Krunal Pandya (13 wickets) have shared the wickets between themselves. As a team, RCB looks very assured and confident at the moment.
They have won their away games in a dominating fashion. However, the same cannot be said about their home run so far. They have failed to assess the wickets early and have not posted big totals batting first consistently.
Qualification Scenarios For RCB
RCB are topping the IPL 2025 points table with 14 points after 10 games. They have four more games remaining, three of which are at home. They have found winning at home tough this season so far. Getting to 16 points will take them closer to the playoffs, while getting to 18 or 20 points will almost secure their playoff spot. In other words, winning three out of the remaining four games will seal their playoff spot, as the teams below RCB are very close to each other in terms of points.
